Islamabad: In view of the expected increase in traffic flow on national highways and motorways following the conclusion of Eid holidays, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has issued an important travel advisory for road users. The NHMP has advised motorists to strictly adhere to prescribed speed limits and ensure safe driving practices throughout their journey. Road users are urged to maintain lane discipline, remain fully attentive while driving, and wear seat belts at all times. Drivers are further advised to avoid driving in a state of drowsiness, fatigue, or exhaustion. In case of tiredness, they should take adequate rest before resuming their journey to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all road users. The Motorway Police has appealed to the public to adopt a cautious and responsible driving attitude and strictly comply with all traffic laws. Owing to the prevailing hot weather conditions, travellers are also encouraged to carry sufficient drinking water and other essential items during their journey.
