Chairman NEPRA, Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi hosted the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between Port Qasim Electric Power Company and Akhuwat Foundation, under NEPRA’s Power with Prosperity Drive, today at the NEPRA Headquarters, Islamabad.
Under the leadership and vision of Chairman NEPRA, the Power with Prosperity drive is facilitating the power sector players to invest in the social uplift projects for the communities they are working with. Till now, K-Electric, Engro and KAPCO have signed MoUs with Akhuwat Foundation to provide interest-free loans to the needy people in the community for enabling access to power through Solar PV rooftop solution.
Sharing his feelings, Mr. Farooqi told that he was extremely delighted to see more and more power sector organizations striving to create an enabling environment to promote the culture of inclusivity in the power industry. He hoped that such initiatives will help in bridging the gap between the served and unserved communities of Pakistan.
