Mardan
A Memorandum of Understanding signed between Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan and Malik Foundation. Chief Executive Officer wsscm Engineer Amir Khan Mohmand and President of Malik Foundation Syed Sher Shah signed the MOU. Under the Memorandum of Understanding, Malik Foundation will provide fruit and other ornamental plants for plantation at different areas of Mardan city while WSSCM will be responsible for its look after and watering.
On this occasion, General Manager Engineer Muhammad Khalil Akbar, Assistant Manager Customer Relations Rahatullah and Malik Foundation’s chairman Dr. Muhammad Junaid and member Muhammad Qasim were also present.
Chief Executive Officer Engineer Amir Khan Mohmand said that afforestation is very important for the survival of life including minimizing environmental pollution and preventing urban flooding.
Planting is a charity and every member of the society should actively participate in the plantation drive. He added,
WSSCM will use organic fertilizers for the growth and look after of the plants. Plantation can brought a positive change in the environment.
Clean and Green Pakistan is our mission and all the available resources will be deployed this.
He said that the fruit plants have been donated to the company and the company will have to take steps for establishment of orchards and growth of those orchards.
President Malik Foundation Syed Sher Shah said that during the last three years thousands of free plants have been distributed among the citizens with the aim of making the environment clean and green.
He said that the volunteers of the foundation are trying to serve humanity by setting up plantation drives, medical camps and blood donation camps.
He said that Mardan is our home and this is our mission to make it clean and green.
