MPA Shazia Rizwan inaugurates Plantation Campaign at Government Millia School

In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi is carrying out a tree plantation campaign across the city on the special instructions of MD Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi.
In this regard, a tree plantation ceremony was organized at Government Millia School Rawalpindi. Member Provincial Assembly Shazia Rizwan specially attended the ceremony and participated in the tree plantation campaign by planting saplings. Hundreds of saplings were planted during the plantation campaign.
Children of Government Millia School and Horticulture Agency officials also participated in the campaign by planting saplings.
On this occasion, Member Punjab Assembly Shazia Rizwan said that the Punjab government is taking special steps to prevent and combat climate change. Trees are helpful in improving our environment. It is proven that tree plantation will reduce diseases and environmental pollution.
He said that there is an urgent need to plant trees to make the environment healthy. We have to understand the importance of tree plantation to make our city pollution-free and protect it from climate change. He praised the plantation campaign of Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi and appealed to the citizens to actively participate in the plantation campaign and take forward the mission of green Rawalpindi. Children of Millia School expressed solidarity with the Clean and Green Mission of HA Rawalpindi.
Teachers said that the way in which children have been included in this healthy activity is a positive step and tree plantation will have a positive impact on the city’s climate. A large number of school children vowed to participate in the plantation campaign in homes, streets and neighborhoods, including schools.
