MPhil Journalism and PhD will be started in Abdul Wali Khan University, Vice Chancellor

Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University, Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah, announced the launch of MPhil Journalism and PhD programs at the university. The university is striving for a harmonious teaching system in accordance with the requirements of the modern era.
He expressed these views while addressing meet the press program at Mardan press club. Press Club President Muhammad Bashir Adil and General Secretary Akhunzada Fazal Haq briefed the Vice Chancellor about the activities of the Press Club. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah said that journalists are the eyes and ears of society.
He added that Abdul Wali Khan University will start MPhil and PhD programs in the Journalism Department so that students interested in this field will have the opportunity to advance further.
He said that the university is being rapidly digitized. From December, students will not only be able to take admissions with one click, but also obtaining transcripts and degrees is being made easier. The new system will save students from waiting for months and going to offices.
The Vice Chancellor said that Abdul Wali Khan University has more PhD scholars than any other university in the province, with whose help they are spreading the light of knowledge in accordance with the requirements of the modern era. He said that development is impossible without education and a uniform education system and market education are the need of the hour.
The university is working keeping in mind the needs of professional education so that students do not face difficulties in finding employment after completing their education.
The Vice Chancellor said that Abdul Wali Khan University is working specifically on the fields of artificial intelligence, science and industry.
Regarding examination fees, he said that we are well aware of the financial difficulties of parents and we are seriously considering reducing the fees. He said that the university is following a policy of re-skilling to improve matters and appointments are being made on the basis of merit.
He added that all pending projects are being reviewed and the responsibilities assigned will be worked on for as long as he gets the opportunity to work for the improvement of the education sector and the development of the university.
Professor Dr. Zahir Shah said that employees play a key role in making the university a top-ranking university, which is why they are working to resolve the problems of employees from grade one to sixteen along with the teaching staff.
He added that the file work for the service structure and up-gradation of employees up to grade sixteen has been completed and they will soon get their legal right to promotion.
He further said that after taking charge, the salaries of the employees were increased as per the annual budget and the salaries have been released with the increase since last month.
