MQM founder betried for his anti-Pakistan speech: Kasuri

KARACHI (INP): Veteran lawyer and Vice President of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Ahmed Raza Kasuri has said that anti-Pakistan remarks of Mutahida Quami Movement (MQM) founder and provoking workers to attack the TV offices were tantamount to treason.
He was talking to media persons during his visit to office of a private TV channel on Saturday to express solidarity on behalf of former president Pervez Musharraf over the attack by MQM workers on August 22.
Kasuri demanded that the MQM founder Altaf Hussain be tried under Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan. He said that that it was the responsibility of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to initiate the proceedings against him.
He said that Urdu-speaking Muhajir community, was two separate entities and he has deep respect and consideration for the Muhajir community.
Ahmed Raza Kasuri said those in the MQM who were not involved in subversive activities should be given a safe passage and be given an opportunity to defend themselves and be a part of the society.
He expressed disappointment over the hesitance of the Premier in initiating proceedings over those raising anti-Pakistan remarks.
