ISLAMABAD, December 28 (online): Muggers opened fire at Sub-inspector Islamabad police named Rafique and snatched government’s pistol and cash from him.
Yesterday, Sub-inspector of police station I-9 had been stopped by two motorcyclist who opened fire at him due to which bullet hit his stomach. His life has been saved after operation.
DIG operations Islamabad Waqar ud Din Syed has taken notice of the incident. Two police teams have been formed under SP I-9 and SP investigation and task of thoroughly investigating and arresting the accused has been assigned to them. Police officers are investigating the incident through geo-fencing and other sophisticated technologies. According to DIG the accused will soon be taken into custody.
