Chairman Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari while addressing a press conference at the central secretariat of MWM has demanded to hold immediate elections across the country and impose an economic emergency.
He said that the country is in the grip of the worst political and economic crises, deliberately prolonging will be like pushing the country towards destruction. What is the fear that prevents political representatives from going to the people? Sincere and patriotic forces will have to go ahead and play their role in saving the country.
He said that the sale of country’s assets is a strategic attack and it should be stopped. Any agreement whereby the infidels dominate the military, economic or educational system of the Muslims is forbidden in Shari’ah.
He said that it is the constitutional responsibility of the state institutions to provide foolproof security and facilities to the mourning programs during Muharram, unnecessary obstacles should be avoided.
Before Muharram, the government has also issued banning orders on such scholars who often do not address the Majalis-e-Aza. There are officers in state institutions with biased thinking who are engaged in a deliberate attempt to incite patriotic citizens whose work is spreading hatred.
Such irresponsible officers are involved in registration of cases on mourning programmes, putting names of founders (Baniyan) of Majalis in the Fourth Schedule. The filing of cases against the program with Imambargah, or any program of mourning within the four walls, are the worst examples of abuse of power.
In Pakistan, political marches, demonstrations having Takfiri slogans and other political and religious gatherings are allowed, but the state institutions have a problem with those who raise their voice against Yazid.
We want to make it clear to the government that no restrictions on mourning are acceptable. The inhumane behavior of harassing mourners and mourners will not be tolerated.
He asked the scholars and zakireen of the Shiite nation to hold firmly to the foundation of brotherhood and unity in the month of Muharram and to convey the message of love and brotherhood to others from their pulpits.
To talk of division in the Muslim Ummah is to strengthen the anti-Islamic forces.
During the mourning programs, founders, scouts, youth and regional organizations should keep a close eye on security matters. A small lack of oversight can give criminals the opportunity to do a lot of damage.
