The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Peshawar appreciated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Health Mahmood Aslam Wazir for effective implementation of accountability watchdog recommendations in the department, said a statement.
In a commendatory letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, NAB Peshawar acknowledges Secretary Health Mahmood Aslam Wazir’s dedication to executing significant reforms in the health department. An Appreciation letter has also been sent to highlight his achievements.
The letter from NAB Peshawar lauds Secretary Health’s successful prevention of the wastage of machinery worth billions of rupees by acting upon NAB recommendations.
Mahmood Aslam Wazir, in a short span, has effectively operationalized previously non-functional medical machinery highlighted by NAB’s Peshawar office.
The commendatory letter emphasizes that Secretary Health’s swift action in redistributing unused medical machinery to other hospitals of the province has saved the provincial exchequer from losses.
According to the appreciation letter, Mahmood Aslam Wazir’s proactive approach has led to the deployment of idle medical equipment to various hospitals across the province, benefiting hundreds of thousands of patients.
The reforms initiated by Secretary Health have significantly improved the delivery of medical services in the province, as stated in the letter.
The letter also underscores that Secretary Health’s reforms have positively impacted two hundred thousand patients monthly, demonstrating a notable enhancement in the provision of healthcare services across the province.
