NAB shows significant progress in investigation

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has showed significant progress in the investigation of corruption case of Rs 15 billion of Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) the sub department of Ministry of planning Punjab.
The inner sources stated that NAB would soon record the statements of Chief Executive of Company, Jawad Khan, Marketing Head Madiha Alvi, Amir Pasha, Aqeel Mumtaz and Muhammad Ahsan.
Investigations against PSDF have been started on the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan, this company is among those 56 companies established by former Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
In preliminary investigations it have been revealed that through this company overall Rs15bn looted from national exchequer.
A large amount was looted on the name of training and orientation for over aged citizens, Chief Secretary Punjab, Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning, Secretary Services S&G and others were in among the board members of the company.
Due to wrong planning of board members, the officers have given loss of Rs11m on monthly basis in form of allowances and other fringe benefits.
The contract of training and orientation was awarded to private companies and given them large amounts. These training providers were given Rs11.6b illegally and PST amount of Rs248m was also not deducted. Ends/Online/TR/NH
