The corruption watchdog, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), has summoned former foreign minister Khawaja Asif on Friday (today) in a case pertaining to the Kent View Housing Society Sialkot.
The NAB had initially asked the PML-N leader to appear before it on June 26, however, Kh Asif’s attorney had informed the Bureau that his client would not be able to appear as he was busy with the National Assembly’s budget session.
A spokesperson for the anti-graft body Thursday said Asif’s lawyer, Najam-ul-Hasan, has submitted answers on behalf of his client; however, the Bureau deemed them unsatisfactory and summoned the former defence minister on July 3 (today) at 11:00am in personal capacity.
Asif has been accused of establishing housing society on state land and selling plots against the approved layout plan.
