National peace & justice council hosts seminar to mark defence day, honors sacrifices of armed forces

KARACHI: The National Peace and Justice Council (NPJC) organized a peace seminar on Sunday at Ramada hotel Airport to commemorate Pakistan Defence Day. The event, held under the patronage of NPJC Secretary Human Rights Pakistan, Mr. Tanveer Ahmed, emphasized national unity, human rights, and paid tribute to the armed forces’ sacrifices. The chief guest on the occasion was the former Governor of Sindh, Lieutenant General (R) Moinuddin Haider. The seminar was attended by NPJC officials, members, business personalities, and guests from across the country. In his address, Secretary Human Rights Mr. Tanveer Ahmed stated, A strong and prosperous Pakistan cannot be realized without the promotion of peace, justice, and human rights. Our foremost priority is to advance the human rights agenda in Pakistan and establish effective working relationships with all institutions. Today, we salute the sacrifices and services of our armed forces and urge the entire nation to unite for a better future.” Chief Guest Lt. Gen. (R) Moinuddin Haider remarked, “Defence Day reminds us of the resolve that the Pakistani nation and its forces stand united in every hour of need.
