MINGORA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Eng Amir Muqam did nothing for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa except making false announcements.
Addressing a public gathering at Balogram Sports Ground near Mingora on Sunday, he claimed that only PTI was the representative party of Pakhtuns. He alleged that all other parties were not sincere with Pakhtuns.`We have brought institutional changes in education, police and health departments in the province.
All these departments have started delivering,` claimed the chief minister. He added that provincial government initiated many development projects for the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
`Elimination of corruption in institutions is landmark of the PTI-led government where political influence has been completely abolished,` said Mr Khattak.
Criticising the previous governments, he said that all other parties looted Pakhtuns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that itwould not happen anymore in presence of PTI.
`Now money is being spent on public instead of going into pockets of individuals,` said the chief minister. He said that provincial government made legislation to eliminate corruption so that nobody could dare to do illegal work.
`There was a time that CM House was used as a platform for issuing tenders and providing jobs but PTI changed the tradition,` he said.
Mr Khata said that his government seized illegal timber of the previous government worth Rs10 billion.`The participation of Pakhtuns in a large number in the Islamabad sit-in proved that all Pakhtuns belonged to PTI. They came to take part in the sit-in despite hurdles,` he said.
The chief minister inaugurated the newly constructed 21-kilometre road from Mingora to Sangar and announced several development projects for PK-81 constituency.
However, during his speech a large number of people from Gat Manglore area staged a protest demonstration against the PTI-government for not constructing a road in their area despite making promises.
