NEPRA accepts govt plea for uniform power tariff for electricity consumers all over country

ISLAMABAD: NEPRA has accepted government plea for introducing uniform tariff for electricity consumers all over the country including K-Electric. According to NEPRA the maximum tariff of electricity for domestic consumers will remain Rs 47.69 per unit. Tariff of Rs 3.95 per unit for domestic life line consumers upto 50 units per month and Rs 7.74 per unit for domestic consumers from 51 to 100 units will remain unchanged. Power tariff of Rs 10.54 per unit for protected consumers with monthly consumption upto 101 units, Rs 13.1 per unit for protected consumers with consumption 101 to 200 units per month, Rs 22.44 per unit for non protected domestic consumers having consumption one unit to 100 units, Rs 28.91 per unit from 101 to 200 units and Rs 33.10 per unit for non protected consumers with consumption 201 to 300 units will be kept unchanged. Power tariff of Rs 37.99 per unit for consumers having consumption 301 to 400 units per month, Rs 40.22 per unit from 401 to 500 units, Rs 41.62 per unit for consumers having consumption from 501 to 600 units. Rs 42.67 per unit for monthly consumption from 601 to 700 units and Rs 47.69 per unit from 700 units and above will remain unchanged. APP
