NEPRA holds a webinar on “How to avoid excessive load shedding in the country”

Islamabad: NEPRA held a webinar at NEPRA Headquarters, Islamabad to discuss the ideas/proposals for avoiding excessive load shedding in the country. During the event, various reasons behind such load shedding and its possible solutions were discussed at length. Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) was invited to share best practices adopted by them with the other Distribution Companies (DISCOs). Besides this, two market experts, Mr. Mujahid Islam Billah & Mr. Shareef Ansari, were also invited to put light on this burning issue. Chairman NEPRA, Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi in his keynote address emphasized that good governance, customer orientation & change of mindset in DISCOs is need of the hour to provide reliable, sustainable & uninterrupted power supply to the consumers. The Webinar was also attended by Member NEPRA, Mr. Maqsood Anwar Khan, NEPRA Professionals and Participants from DISCOs and K-Eectric (KE). The Webinar concluded after detailed Question & Answer session.
