National Boxing Talent Hunt stage 3 concludes successfully

The All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Boxing Championship, held under the National Boxing Talent Hunt Program (Stage 3) from February 13 to 16, 2026, concluded successfully, showcasing the province’s emerging boxing talent. The four-day thrilling event, organized in Peshawar, brought together male and female boxers from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who impressed spectators with their skill, agility, and determination.
The championship witnessed highly competitive bouts across multiple weight categories. Young boxers demonstrated exceptional technique, strength, and tactical prowess, proving that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s boxing talent stands on par with the best in the country. Fans enthusiastically supported the athletes throughout, creating an electric and motivating atmosphere.
The event was organized through the joint efforts of the Pakistan Army and the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF). Thanks to the leadership and diligent work of PBF President Colonel (R) Nasir Ijaz Tang and General Secretary Major Irfan Younis, the championship was executed with utmost professionalism and efficiency. Commenting on the event, Khizrullah, Secretary of the Provincial Boxing Association, highlighted that the Talent Hunt Program aims to identify promising athletes at the grassroots level and guide them to national-level competitions.
At the conclusion of the championship, the top-performing male and female boxers were officially selected for the provincial team. Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded to the leading athletes, who are now set to represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the upcoming National Boxing Championship, aiming to bring pride and recognition to the province.
Coaches Naveed Khan of Markhor Boxing Fight Academy and Muhammad Saleem of Eagle Boxing Academy emphasized that such Talent Hunt programs not only encourage youth to engage in positive activities but also play a vital role in preparing future national and international champions. The championship has proven to be a milestone in the promotion and development of boxing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
