Newly appointed CCPO Peshawar holds introductory meeting

An introductory meeting of senior police officers was held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines under the chairmanship of newly appointed Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed.
The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Masood Ahmed, DPO Khyber Rai Mazhar Iqbal, SSP Investigation Noor Jamal, Commandant Campus Mushtaq Ahmed, SP Headquarters Ali Gauhar Khan, along with Divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, and other police officials.
Addressing the gathering, CCPO Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed said it was an honor to lead a force of martyrs and ghazis, pledging to uphold the values of merit, bravery, and integrity in all aspects of policing.
He emphasized that all available resources will be mobilized to protect the lives and property of citizens, ensure law and order, and improve public trust in the police. He announced a continued crackdown on street crime, illegal arms, and public display of weapons across the district.
Dr. Saeed reiterated a zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking, particularly targeting the spread of narcotics such as ice. He also vowed strict action against land grabbers, gambling dens, and other social evils.
The CCPO stressed the importance of snap checking, surprise roadblocks, search and strike operations, and enhanced use of human intelligence to curb criminal activities effectively.
Recognizing the pivotal role of investigation in combating crime, he said the investigation wing will be further strengthened. He directed officers to ensure timely response to public complaints, prompt registration of FIRs, and courteous behavior at police stations.
Concluding his address, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed urged all officers to treat their professional duties as a sacred responsibility, making public service their top priority.
