The prompt and effective response of the National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) brought a passenger bus fire under control, ensuring the safe evacuation of all onboard passengers.
NHMP officers, exhibiting a high degree of professionalism and rapid response, attended to the incident near Wazirabad Bypass on GT Road. Upon arrival, they acted swiftly to contain the fire and evacuate all passengers safely.
According to initial reports, a passenger bus belonging to a private company was travelling from Lahore to Rawalpindi when it suddenly caught fire due to a short circuit near Wazirabad Bypass.
On receiving the alert, NHMP officers promptly reached the scene and, through timely intervention and efficient handling, extinguished the fire and ensured the safe rescue of all passengers.
Owing to the swift and coordinated response of NHMP, no casualties were reported. Subsequently, all passengers were facilitated with alternate transport to continue their journey to their respective destinations.
