Police and the district administration have expedited their efforts to curb illegal mining

District Police Officer Imran Shahid has stringently directed field officers to tighten the noose around those who are involved in illegal mining and so a grand campaign has been launched.
In last two days during a collective crackdown, as many as 19 accused were arrested in different parts of the district Swabi who were involved in illegal mining. Cases under relevant sections of law were registered against them.
It is worth mentioning that over the last 09 months around 194 people have been arrested who were involved in illegal mining of the sand. The DPO Swabi Imran Shahid said the police, under his command, had beefed up their efforts and no one would be spared if found involved in illegal mining.
