Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said PDM is at liberty to stage Long March but it should change the date as the routes to Islamabad will be closed due to 23rd March parade.
“If some one stages protest within ambit of law then there is no objection. But no one can be allowed to take law into one’s hands. This is first opposition which is announcing to stage protest on Pakistan Day four months before”, he said this while addressing a press conference here Tuesday.
“Military parade is held on March 23. This is the day of Pakistan army which is observed at international level. Opposition should stage long mach 15 days before or 7 days later because our all things reach Islamabad via GT Road in connection with Pakistan day parade. Most of The corps headquarters are located at GT road therefore, routes to Islamabad are closed 6 to 7 days earlier. Opposition should think over its procedure otherwise it should not raise objections that their routes have been shut. I will talk about it after three months that what solution should be evolved, he added.
He remarked “but I invite opposition to mull over it. This is a national issue. Opposition decided to give date after three and half years and even then they took wrong decision. Maulana Fazlur Rehman should review this date”.
When Maulana Fazlur Rehman had come Islamabad then that time was time of protest for opposition. Now new election time has come. Their objectives are different whom Maulana Fazlur Rehman are following. These are first ever parties which are trying to earn fame by giving date of four months, he remarked.
He underscored care taker government is not coming. Imran Khan will complete its constitutional tenure. Imran Khan will overcome inflation within three to four months. He stressed that media houses should discourage those talking of terrorism because it will foment extremism. The way world is talking on missing persons and law and order is a conspiracy against Pakistan. Nation has understood Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
“Maulana you want to bring students of Dars-e-Nizami behind whom, he questioned.
He went on to say Sialkot incident is condemnable. It is conspiracy to harm Pakistan from inside. We have extended assurance to Sri Lankan high commissioner of full justice. Such incident has taken place which has defamed the country. Government and institutions are on one page in connection with Sialkot incident, he added.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari says the constituencies are small and those should be more bigger, he added.
