Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Thursday the government will not compromise the implementation of Kisan Package at any cost.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the premier chaired a review meeting regarding recently announced Kisan Package. Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said he would not tolerate any carelessness in this regard.
Prime Minister said government is providing subsidies on tube-wells to farmer of flood-hit areas. Farmers are being assisted in every possible manner during the need of hour, he said.
Shehbaz Sharif directed relative authorities to utilize Gawadar Port for the fifty percent Cargo of Wheat and Urea. He said that Gawadar’s utilization was pivotal for Balochistan’s progress.
Separately, the Prime Minister in a tweet said implementation of the Kisan package is being carried out at a rapid pace.
“The implementation of the Kisan package is going on at a rapid pace. The government is taking all steps to facilitate and help the flood affected farmers. I have issued instructions to use Gwadar Port for fifty percent of all cargoes of agricultural commodities,” he said in a tweet.
