Will work to bridge difference between KP, centre: KP governor


KP Governor spends busy day after assuming charge; receives felicitations
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Gulam Ali said on Thursday vowed to bridge the differences between the province and the federal government, saying he is committed to serve the nation with utmost dedication.
He was talking to different delegations belonging to various political parties and trade body delegations at Governor House in Peshawar.
During the meeting, the delegations congratulated him for assuming the charge of Governor KP.
He said the present government is facing many challenges and due to the current situation of the country, the government has taken difficult decisions. He expressed hope that the national economy will stabilize soon.
Governor Haji Ghulam Ali was also telephoned by former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and congratulated him on his new position and expressed good wishes for fulfilling his new responsibilities.
Awami National Party (ANP) leader and lawmaker Advocate Khushdil Khan also met at Governor House Peshawar. Leaders of both political parties congratulated Governor KP on assuming new responsibilities and expressed good wishes.
A representative delegation including other officials of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry under the chairmanship of President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh also visited the Governor House and congratulated Haji Ghulam Ali on assuming the new constitutional duties.
Haji Gulam Ali, senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) took oath as the governor of KP on Wednesday.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Communication Minister Maulana Asad Mehmood, KP Assembly Opposition Leader Akram Khan Durrani, Mayor Haji Zubair Ali, ANP leader Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and Senator Maulana Attaur Rehman among others attended the ceremony held at Governor House Peshawar.
