Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat has said that strict action would be taken against traffic rules violators, adding that traffic police deputed at different sectors must ensure smooth traffic and No-Parking Zone rules and regulations.
He made these remarks on Sunday while visiting to all sectors across the city to review the traffic system.
The Chief Traffic Officer inspected the presence of wardens at various points and apprised the citizens about the problems related to the traffic system.
Mr Abbas directed the traffic authorities to further improve the performance so that the citizens do not face any difficulty while traveling.
He said that the traffic authorities should continue their crackdown on encroachment mafia and eliminate temporary and permanent encroachments on sidewalks across the city.
Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat reviewed the process by City Traffic Police Peshawar personnel to remove tinted windows from vehicles.
He said that use of tinted glasses was a legal offense and no concession would be made to those who use it.
The Chief Traffic Officer directed the authorities to take stern action against the violators of the No Parking Zones so that the citizens would not park their vehicles on the side of the road.
