PESHAWAR
Deputy Commissioner Malakand Hameed-ur-Rehman has stated that there is absolutely no space for criminals in Malakand, while peaceful citizens are always welcome to approach his office with any complaints or concerns.
Speaking to media representatives on Sunday the DC emphasized that under the vision of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the Chief Secretary, significant improvements are being made across various sectors in the district.
He highlighted that the current law and order in Malakand is exemplary, and despite limited resources, the Malakand Levies are always prepared to deal with any circumstances, strictly preventing the entry of criminal elements into the district.
The DC further said that a crackdown has been ordered against individuals involved in drug trafficking without any discrimination, and lists of known criminals have already been compiled to bring them to justice. He reiterated that any citizen facing issues is welcome to visit his office at any time, but criminal elements will not be tolerated within Malakand’s jurisdiction.
Hameed-ur-Rehman also noted that improvements have been made in hospitals, educational institutions, and various other district departments. Additionally, under the provincial government’s directives, the district administration has developed a comprehensive plan to deal with emergencies, especially during the monsoon season.
Rescue 1122 personnel have been instructed to remain alert, and all Assistant Commissioners, ADCs, and Levies post commanders have been directed to stay prepared and keep the district administration promptly informed. The DC assured that he personally oversees these operations and, when necessary, visits affected areas to manage the situation firsthand.
He expressed hope that in the coming months, Malakand would be regarded as one of the most peaceful districts in terms of law and order.
