No room for judicial martial law in the constitution: CJP

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has said that democracy will not be allowed to be derailed in Pakistan and there is no room for judicial martial law in the constitution.
“ Democracy will not be allowed to be derailed in Pakistan. There is no room for judicial martial law in the constitution. No unconstitutional step will be accepted. If good rulers come, they change the destiny of the country. Dispensing justice indiscriminately is must for judge. The justice should be manifestly seen to be done in the country”, he said this while addressing a ceremony in Cathedral Church at Lahore Friday on Pakistan Day.
He reaffirmed that independent and fair election will be held in the country. The country has to run as per law and constitution. Only rule of law will be in place in Pakistan. No step beyond the constitution will be tolerated, he announced.
He held that freedom along with life is a great boon. We are lucky enough that Almighty Allah has bestowed upon us an independent country.
“We will have to respect this country more than a mother. A quality leadership can safeguard independence of the country. Quality leadership is must for national development”, he remarked.
Attaining the independence is not enough only but its safety is also essential for us, he said. It is need of hour that we should get united like a nation. Education is essential ingredient for becoming one nation, he stressed. In the world countries wherever there is no education , there is no development, he observed.
We have to pledge to safeguard our independence today, he underli9ned. The protection of independence can be ensured through principles and struggle.
He remarked we have to respect as well as protect the independence. This can not be done only through words.
We must do something for the humanity during our life span, he stressed.
