Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card (NPQSC) has gone one step ahead of world health system.
“I pay tribute to chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and His team in connection with Sehat card project. Sehat Insurance system in UK had impressed me. But our Sehat card project has left behind rich countries health project”, he said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card in Islamabad on Wednesday.

He went on to say that the poor kept on wandering hither and thither in desperation and the rich kept on taking advantage. We are fighting war of Pakistan.
The plunderers of national wealth go abroad for treatment, he said adding they purchase their properties therein. If they catch cough and cold they go outside the country for treatment.
He pointed out the entire family is sitting outside the country. How will such people feel the embarrassment of the poor people. In Pakistan system had been meant for the elite. No one ever thought that we have to head towards state of Medina.
I have seen UK health system from very close and it impressed me much, he held. Under this system every citizen can get treatment in government hospital. But our program is far ahead of UK health system as any one can seek treatment in private hospital.
There is rare country in the world where this system has been introduced, he remarked. This is such program which is for all including have and haves not. We have seen degradation of government hospitals.
He remarked private hospitals were meant for the rich people and poor common man went to government hospital for his treatment. Doctors did not go to district hospitals. People from Mianwali went to Rawalpindi for their medical treatment. Such a system had been framed that if you want treatment then bring money.
He went on to say this country was created for some purpose.
We have not tried to move ahead towards welfare state, he stated. Elite had become united and a separate law was enacted for the marginalized section of society.
The nation grows bigger when the entire nation becomes stake holder. The people who are living in the country provide security to it. Then country gets stronger.
He indicated that Rs 450 billion are being spent on health insurance.
Propaganda was launched against Usman Buzdar, he said adding at what scale campaign was run against him I had never seen. When survey was conducted then Usman Buzdar became No 1 chief minister. The previous chief minister used to roam wearing caps and hats.
