ISLAMABAD: Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, Chairman of Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan, has said that the verdict against the prisoners of the October 13, 2005 tragedy is one-sided and contrary to the facts. “The shooting of two Rangers youths is as big a crime as the public killing of two women, including five civilians, in the same incident” said MWM Chairman in a press release on Thursday. He said that the job of the state is to put balm on the wounds of its residents, the children of the civilians who were martyred in the incident are still waiting for justice and raising a question that for which crime their loved ones were killed. Unilateral decisions lead to frustrations and then these frustrations lead to hatred of institutions. “The state should play the role of mother and the feelings of the people should not be hurt. The trial of 13 prisoners arrested under the guise of this incident should be ended as soon as possible and they should be released” MWM Chairman reiterated. Government and state institutions should not test our patriotism, our patience. Online
