ISLAMABAD
Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Omar Ayub Khan has written letter to speaker National Assembly (NA) on the matter of appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and two members of Election Commission (EC). Opposition leader has sent the letter again for constitution of committee under article 213 (28) of the constitution for appointment of CEC and two members of EC. Through letter 4 members from NA and 2 members from Senate have been nominated by opposition.
They include Member of National Assembly Asad Qaisar, Gohar Ali Khan , Sahibzada Hamid Raza and Latif Khosa.
Shibli Faraz and Allama Raja Nasir have been nominated for committee from Senate.
The letter said government should decide about the appointment of CEC and two members of EC as soon as possible.
