Pursuant to the special directives of Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Usman Anwar, the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Rawalpindi conducted an Khuli Kacheri to crack down on visa fraud agents and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances.
During the session, ten complainants, including a woman, appeared directly before the Deputy Director AHTC to submit their applications and evidence against fraudulent visa agents. The Deputy Director listened to the applicants individually and ordered an immediate verification and scrutiny of all cases on the spot.
Responding to an query by the APP, an FIA spokesperson stated that all complaints and supporting evidence related to visa fraud undergo an initial verification process. Upon authentication, the complaints are formally converted into regular inquiries.
The designated inquiry officer is required to complete the investigation within a stipulated timeframe and present findings before the FIA Zonal Board. After evaluating the recommendations, the Zonal Board approves legal proceedings, including the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the nominated agents.
The spokesperson emphasized that resolving public grievances and eliminating the visa mafia remain top priorities for the agency. In line with DG FIA Usman Anwar’s directives, the entire procedure has been made fully transparent and expedited to deliver swift justice to citizens.
