In a major breakthrough, Paharipita Police Station has successfully uncovered an organized gang involved in house burglaries, arresting the ringleader and recovering stolen assets worth Rs. 7.5 million.
The operation was carried out on the special directives of senior police officials, led by SP Faqirabad Division Muhammad Arshad Khan, under the supervision of DSP Faqirabad Circle Umar Afridi. SHO Ahmadullah and Investigation Officer Imtiaz Khan spearheaded the investigation using modern scientific methods and technical resources.
The gang had broken into a house in Sikandar Town, within the jurisdiction of Pahari Pura Police Station, on April 19, 2025. The homeowner, Hussain Ali Yousafzai, son of Khadim Ali Yousafzai, reported the theft after returning to find the lock broken and valuables stolen. A formal FIR was registered, and an intensive investigation was launched.
Acting promptly, the special police team interrogated multiple suspects and known criminals. The investigation led to the arrest of Sher Muhammad, son of Shah Room, identified as the gang’s ringleader. During initial interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and provided names of other accomplices. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining members and recover additional stolen items.
The arrest resulted in the recovery of Rs. 7.5 million in cash, reportedly obtained from the sale of stolen gold ornaments. Police officials believe the recovered amount could lead to further significant revelations as the investigation progresses.
