Says govt committed to provide facilities, incentives to expats
Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said overseas Pakistanis are precious asset of Pakistan and government is committed to provide facilities and incentives to overseas Pakistanis and their families who are contributing to the progress and development of country.
A meeting was held under PM on steps for increasing foreign remittances Friday
The meeting was attended by finance minister, minister for economic affairs, SAPM on trade And others.
State bank told during the meeting that the government policy on providing attractive incentives to overseas Pakistanis under the head of foreign remittances is yielding positive result.
The meeting was informed that 1.561 billion dollars have been received during short period of 10 months under the head of Roshan digital account so far and they are increasing persistently.
The meeting was told that persistent increase in foreign remittances has been witnessed despite corona virus epidemic since 2018. This reflects overseas Pakistanis full confidence on the policies of the present government and capabilities of PM Imran Khan.
The meeting was told that National Remittance Loyalty program will soon be launched for convenience of overseas Pakistanis. A mobile application will be introduced under this program. More financial incentives will be extended to the overseas Pakistanis who are sending remittances.
It was also told in the meeting that Roshan Apna ghar scheme will soon be launched.
