lack of quorum
PESHAWAR
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session was adjourned on Monday due to the lack of quorum as only 17 members from both the government and opposition benches were present in the house. During the question hour, opposition MPA Ashbar Jadoon expressed strong displeasure over the absence of ministers. The Deputy Speaker informed the house that ministers could not attend the assembly session due to a cabinet meeting. In response, Ashbar Jadoon questioned why the assembly session was convened if a cabinet meeting was scheduled at the same time.
Ashbar Jadoon then pointed out the quorum, which was found to be incomplete due to the low attendance of members. As a result, the session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was adjourned until January 7.
