pace of progress: Punjab Law Minister directs police to arrest murderers of Sami-u-Haq

Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Muhammad Basharat Raja has directed police officials of Rawalpindi to make all out efforts to apprehend the culprits involved in the heinous crime of assassination of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S) chief Maulana Sami ul Haq.
Muhammad Basharat Raja issued the directives while presiding a briefing of Rawalpindi Police Officers (RPOs) on Saturday.
The Law Minister was updated with the pace of progress of investigation. The police officer informed that investigation was underway in accordance with the evidences, while forensic report would also be obtained to find the clues of culprits involved in the murder.
Muhammad Basharat Raja expressed heartfelt sympathies with the members of bereaved family and thousands of his followers. He said that Maulana Sami ul Haq was a renowned religious scholar who had contributed a lot for the cause of Islam.
He directed police officers to complete investigation as soon as possible and find out the culprits who had committed this heinous crime so that they could be presented in the court of law.
