IG-Islamabad, Commissioner visit Peshawar to pay tribute to police martyres

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Nurul Amin Mengal on Friday visited Peshawar Police Lines to pay tribute to the martyrs of Peshawar tragedy.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mohammad Ijaz Khan and SSP Coordination Zahoor Babar Afridi received the guests and briefed on the overall situation after the suicide bomber hits a mosque in the provincial capital.
The officers attended the martyrs’ memorial and prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.
Speaking on the occasion, IG Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan lauded the service made by the police in the war on terror.
“Pakhtunkhwa Police force is the heir of martyrs,” he added and said that the force has always performed better against the terrorist elements in the state.
Dr Akbar Nasir Khan maintained on the occasion that we all stand united against terrorism and for the integrity of the country of Pakistan, he added.
He said that Islamabad Police expresses its solidarity with the families of the martyrs and said that every official of the Islamabad Police is saddened by the martyrdom of his brothers and equally shares in the grief of the bereaved.
