Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza General Nadeem Raza has said Pakistan will not compromise on its nuclear program.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Gen Nadeem Raza delivered the keynote address during the symposium on “Essentials of Regional Environment and Security” at NUST Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS). Students, academicians and eminent experts from different parts of the country participated.
Commenting on the regional security environment, Chairman JCSC – who is also the Vice Chairman of the National Command Authority (NCA) – reiterated the importance of Pakistan’s nuclear capability as a guarantor of defense and defense of the homeland.
Chairman JCSC said, “Pakistan’s nuclear program is supported by all political parties and the people of Pakistan. The NCA, with all its political and military leadership, stands firm for the strategic programme.” He stressed that national security is indivisible and assured that under no circumstances will Pakistan allow its nuclear program to be compromised.
He said, “Pakistan is a confident and responsible nuclear power. It follows a policy of full spectrum deterrence within the limits of credible minimum deterrence. Our national security and security architecture meets all national and international obligations and covers all forms of deterrence.” scenarios.”
President JCSC concluded, “As a model in other nuclear-capable nations, unnecessary and unfounded views on the strategic program should be avoided. When required, the NCA is the right forum to issue specific feedback or views.”
