Pakistani delegation meeting with the President of Damascus Chamber

Pakistan CdA discusses with the members of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and countryside ways to enhance and develop economic and trade relations between the two countries
The President of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry, Mr. Ghazwan Al-Masry, discussed with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Mr. Umer Hayat Khan, ways to enhance and develop bilateral economic and trade relations between the two friendly countries, during the meeting held at the Chamber’s headquarters.
The meeting discussed the upcoming visit of the Pakistani businessmen delegation scheduled on July 25th, 2024, which will include meetings with several industrial and commercial chambers and economic unions in several Syrian governorates to discuss a number of issues related to developing areas of industrial and commercial cooperation, partnerships and joint investments between the two countries.
The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy also reviewed the most important matters. Leading industries in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, such as the manufacture of medicines, pharmaceutical materials, surgical instruments, including dental instruments, in addition to agricultural tools, electrical equipment, generators, batteries, sports equipment, and other industries.
The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy also stated that Pakistan has always been keen to extend a helping hand to Syria, especially with issues of exporting and importing goods.
The meeting was attended by Messrs. Louay Nahlawi, Vice President of the Chamber, Eng. Muhammad Ayman Mawlawi, Secretary of the Chamber, George Daoud, Secretary of the Chamber, Hossam Abdeen, Walid Houria, Adham Tabbaa, Nour El-Din Simha, members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

During the meeting, Mr. Ghazwan Al-Masry confirmed that the Chamber pays great attention to building distinguished relations between the two countries to strengthen and advance economic relations, stressing the Chamber’s readiness to cooperate with the embassy and develop an action plan to make the Pakistani delegation’s visit a success, as coordination will be made to hold several direct meetings between businessmen (b2b) within All specializations and industrial sectors to facilitate the communication process between businessmen and industrialists in the two countries.
