Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah in his remarks on ‘Youm e Takbeer’, said Pakistan’s defence has been made invincible by detonations of nuclear explosions.
“May 28 was an unforgettable day in the history of Pakistan when its defence became unconquerable,”.
Shah stressed attaining economic sovereignty and self-dependence.
He called for the promotion of peace and stability in South Asia and the rest of the region.
On Saturday, Pakistan marked the 24th anniversary of its nuclear tests that were conducted to ensure strategic balance in South Asia after India declared itself a nuclear power, pledging peace in the region.
He said the nation would have to move ahead with the same spirit as manifested on ‘Youm-e-Takbeer’.
The ATP chairman underlined that it was a day to get united for the solidarity of the country as it was the main strength of the nation and expressed his determination that with such unity, hard work and staunch faith, they would turn Pakistan into ‘an economic power’.
Faiq condemned rising attacks on personnel of security forces in the northwest region of the country.
He paid tribute to police and armed force personnels who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
The party leader said the attacks cannot deter the valor and passion of the security forces.
He said peace has been restored owing to unmatched sacrifices rendered by ‘jawans’ of armed forces and police.
The ATP chairman demanded to review the overall security situation and take pragmatic steps for maintenance of law and order throughout the country.
Shah was of the view that if lawmakers and rulers made legislations, police reforms and use of latest technology so that incidents like May 09 couldn’t have happened in the country.
The party leader demanded the mastermind of the May 09 episode should be punished with iron hands.
He said the occurrence of such unfortunate incidents and episodes were a failure of government and administration.
