Pakistan’s exports to US increase by 17.02% in 2 months

Pakistan’s export of goods and services to the United States (US) witnessed an increase of 17.02 percent during the first two months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the exports of the corresponding months of last year, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported.
The overall exports to the US were recorded at US $1,111.891 million during July-August (2025-26) against exports of US $950.128 million during July-August (2024-25), SBP data revealed.
On a year-to-year basis, the exports to the US increased to $496.692 million in August 2025 against the export of $473.838 million in August 2024. Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, the exports to the US witnessed a decrease of 19.26 percent during August 2025 as compared to the exports of $615.199 million in July 2025, the SBP data revealed.
Overall Pakistan’s exports to other countries witnessed an increase of 10.21 percent in the first two months, from US $4,797.963 million to US $5,288.031 million, the SBP data revealed.
On the other hand, the imports from the US into the country during the months under review were recorded at US $313.362 million against US $370.661 million last year, showing a decline of 15.45 percent in July-August (2025-26).
On a year-on-year basis, the imports for the US also decreased to US $146.593 million in August 2025, against the export of US $185.606 million in August 2024.
On a month-on-month basis, the imports from the US into the country came down by 12.09 percent during August 2025, as compared to the imports of US $166.769 million during July 2025, according to the data.
The overall imports into the country witnessed an increase of 8.81 per cent, from $9,557.952 million to US $10,400.949 billion, according to the data.
