Pakistani batter Gull Feroza has been fined 10% of her match fee after breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during an ACC Women’s Asia Cup fixture against Hong Kong in Dubai on Monday. According to the cricketing body, the top-order batter was found to have breached Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to showing dissent at an umpire. The incident occurred in the fifth over of Pakistan’s innings when Gull, after being given out leg-before wicket, expressed her disagreement with the on-field umpire’s decision by gesturing towards her bat to suggest that she had edged the ball, according to the ICC.
