ISLAMABAD
8 Members of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) while strongly condemning the act of not shifting Imran Khan to Al-Shifa hospital have said government has committed violation of Supreme Court’s (SC’s) order clearly.
A joint statement by Abid Zubairi, Maqsood Buttar, Shafqat Chohan and Munir Kakar has said SC order was very clear but it was not implemented.
It has been said in the statement that non implementing court’s order is open attack on independence and powers of judiciary.
Bar council members said SC has already made it clear in its orders that what will be the consequences for not implementing its orders.
They demanded those found in non complying the SC orders be dealt with sternly.
Abdul Sattar Khan, Suleman Akram Raja, Salah ud Din Ahmad and Qazi Arshid have also signed joint statement.
