ISLAMABAD : Component parties of PDM have once again refused to accept Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani as opposition leader in Senate.
Sources said an important meeting of PDM component parties being represented in Senate was held here. The meeting was attended by JUI-F, PML-N, BNP, Pakhtunmilli Awami Party leaders.
They all once again refused to accept Gillani as opposition leader in Senate.
PML-N leader Azam Nazir Tarar said PDM component parties will sit on opposition benches in their r independent status. We should be given standing committees in proportion to our seats.
The leaders of component parties of PDM met chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani.
Azam Nazir Tarar said chairman Senate has been informed about the decision taken by component parties of PDM. As per rules we are entitled to 9 committees which should be given to us.
