PDWP approves Rs24357.777m development projects

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Wednesday approved twelve developmental projects worth Rs24357.777 million.
The forum considered 12 projects pertaining to different sectors including Energy and Power, Higher Education, Elementary and Secondary Education, Buildings and Urban Development sectors for the uplift of the province.
The meeting of PDWP held here under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash and was attended by members of PDWP, representatives of Planning Commission, representatives of concerned departments and tribal districts.
The approved projects of Energy and Power sector were included “Construction of 132Kv Grid Station, Northern Mohmand At Khwazai, Baizai. In Out From 132Kv Grid Station Ghallani and 27Km (Ghallani-Northern Mohmand Transmission Line), Up-gradation of 66KV grid station Kalaya to 132KV, Orakzai Tribal District, Up-gradation of 66 KV grid station Ghiljo to 132KV Orakzai Tribal District, Up gradation of 66 KV station Alizai to 132KV Kurram District, Up gradation of 66KV station Sadda to 132 KV Kurrm District, Providing New, bifurcation and reconductoring of 11KV Feeder in North Waziristan, South Waziristan Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank and D.I.Khan, Providing new, bifurcation, reconductoring of 11KV Feeder in Tribal Districts Kurram, Orakzai TSD Darra & Sub Division Hssan Khel Peshawar, Providing new, bifurcation and Reconductoring of 11KV Feeder in Tribal Bajaur, Mohmand and Khyber”.
In Higher Education sector “Feasibility Study and provision for Up-gradation of UET Sub Campus Mardan to the level of University was approved.
In Elementary and Secondary Education sector “Chinese Grant for construction of Schools in Bara District Khyber was given nod.
The approved project in Building sector was “Construction, Rehabilitation of Office, Residential Accommodation for FATA Employees in Tribal Districts”.

The approved project in Urban Development sector was “District Uplift and Beautification Scheme”.
