Peace, political stability vital for economic prosperity: Faiq

Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has said peace and political stability are vital for economic prosperity and development. He added Pakistan’s defence made invincible as result of unmatched sacrifices rendered by security forces.
Shah said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of foiling all kinds of maneuvering at internal and external fronts.
Addressing a seminar titled: “Istehkam e Pakistan ‘’ in connection with Pakistan Day, known as Pakistan Resolution Day here on Sunday the party leader said that Pakistan stands at a crossroads.
He said the country is confronted with social, economic issues.
“We didn’t learn from the country’s history and past regimes”,
The ATP chairman noted that poverty, starvation and deprivations are major challenges, which should be addressed on priority basis.
“We have lost precious 75 years. We have failed to build up Pakistan as per vision of the father of the nation Quaid e Azam Muhammad ALi Jinnah”,
Faiq said making Pakistan a true Islamic welfare state is still a pipedream.
He added that Pakistan has been made an experiment site wherein everyone had come and exit by further worsening situation.
Shah questioned: “Is we called them democracy, wherein personal interests were only protected?
He said everyone waits for their own ‘turn’ and people have always been betrayed by empty slogans.
The party chief said rulers and politicians have served for their protection of vested interests and miserably failed to make legislation for public welfare.
While commenting on the celebration of the golden jubilee of the constitution of the country, Shah remarked parliament had been made only a rubber stamp, wherein legislation made for personal interests and protection of own misdeeds, corruption and misuse of authorities.
The ATP chairman said dynastic politics has been fostered for the last 75 years.
He made it clear that democracy will not be strengthened until and unless bringing collective and serious reforms.
