PESHAWAR
Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said the country and its people are bearing the brunt of incompetence and wrong policies of rulers and warned the ‘selection’ in election would further prove detrimental for the country.
Addressing a public gathering and various delegations here on Monday, Shah said the election atmosphere has been made vague and polluted by following old practices of pick and choose and like and dislike.
He censured political leaders for using pressure tactics for gaining public vote.
The ATP chairman asked that the process of election and vote should be made easier for ordinary people.
He called free and fair elections a panacea for all issues and stressed that the true essence of democracy should be restored by installing a real public representative government with power of public vote.
Shah said on Feb 8 the people will decide who is dishonest to the country and people and who the architect of Pakistan is.
The party leader urged the electorate to change the fate of the country through their decision on Feb 8 by voting for new political parties, manifesto and program.
He advised that while casting a vote, the electorate must think over the past of the political leader.
Reminding the party’s manifesto and agenda, Shah said they wanted to delegate powers and authorities to people, stating the provision of speedy justice, health, education and other facilities among topmost priority of our party agenda.
Faiq made it clear that public problems were unresolved until provision of authority and justice to them.
He said his party has already proposed a viable plan to get rid of the whole nation from the present crisis situation.
The ATP leader vowed to ensure public participation in the politics and decision making process from union council to centre level.
