A delegation of individuals from various backgrounds, including AVT Khyber Channel Director Kaiwan Raja, Deputy Director (R) FIA Tariq Yousuf Khan, and Shaukat Khan, visited the Hamza Foundation Welfare Hospital in Peshawar.
During their visit, Hamza Foundation Chairman Ijaz Ali Khan briefed the delegation on the institution’s efforts to support thalassemia patients. Currently, 1,452 patients, including children, are registered at the hospital and receive free facilities, including blood donations.
The delegation was informed about the hospital’s initiatives to organize blood donation camps in educational institutions and raise awareness about thalassemia prevention. They emphasized the importance of cooperation from people of different backgrounds, including making thalassemia tests mandatory before marriage, to prevent the disease.
The delegation toured various sections of the Hamza Foundation, meeting patients and their families. They appreciated the institution’s measures to provide safe blood transfusions and free facilities to thalassemia patients, assuring their support for the children affected by the disease and the institution.
Hamza Foundation founder Ijaz Ali Khan presented commemorative shields to the guests, acknowledging their visit and support.
