PESHAWAR: Director General Public Relations Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) Shukat Afzal Khan clarified that the Company provided Rs1438 million relief to the consumers in the month of July billing under Fuel Adjustment Surcharge.
In a statement here he out-rightly denied a news item appeared in a section of the press stating that Public Relations Peshawar Electric Supply Company deprived the consumers of the benefit of reduction in the electricity rates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and added that as per the decision of the NEPRA, consumers having over 300 units bills have been provided relief at the rate of Rs3.32 per unit in the July bills.
The notion that no relief has been provided to the consumers was totally wrong, baseless and containing no truth whatsoever, he said adding, the management strongly rebutted the said news.
