Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister for Population Welfare Tufail Anjum has assured field staff of the Population Welfare Department that effective measures will be taken to address their genuine grievances, difficulties and legitimate demands.
He was speaking during a meeting with a delegation of the Field Staff Association in Peshawar, said a handout. The delegation was led by the association’s provincial president, Niaz Ali Yousafzai, and general secretary, Bakht Zada Khan, and included other office-bearers.
The delegation briefed the special assistant about the problems faced by field staff and sought his cooperation in resolving their longstanding issues.
Mr Anjum heard the delegation and assured its members that necessary steps would be taken in consultation with the relevant authorities to address their legitimate concerns.
He said the field staff played a vital role in delivering Population Welfare Department services to the public and that the government considered resolving their issues a priority.
He directed the relevant authorities to examine the staff’s legitimate demands in accordance with rules and regulations and take practical measures for their resolution.
He said improving the working environment of field staff would help enhance the department’s performance and improve the delivery of services to the public.
