PESHAWAR: The role of students in spreading awareness about the importance of vote and election process is very important. These views were expressed by Asif Ali Yasin, Director Elections, while addressing an awareness session at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) Peshawar. Spokesperson to the Provincial Election Commissioner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Ahmad also attended voters awareness session which was arranged by CDPI Pakistan in collaboration with FNFP Pakistan. The students and faculty members were briefed about the electoral process, importance of vote, composition of ECP, constitutional and legal framework and steps being taken for inclusive and credible Elections. Students took keen interest in the session and asked many relevant questions which were addressed by the team of ECP.
Prof Dr Abdur Rauf University of Peshawar also spoke on Civic governance.
