Hundreds of Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) activists on Monday protested against the alleged use of unfair means in Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) examination conducted by Education and Evaluation Testing Agency (ETEA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They held demonstrations outside the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) and demanded a transparent inquiry against the use of advanced technology in the MDCAT examination and asked the provincial government and quarters concerned to announce retest in the province.
IJT leader Wasim Haider and other office bearers said that most of the candidates who appeared in the test for admission in medical and dental colleges allegedly used Bluetooth devices to solve the question papers. He said that more than 200 students had been arrested from various examination centers established by the ETEA.
The activists of IJT were holding placards and banners in their hands, on which their demands were written. On this occasion, the protestors said that the medical college entrance test should be re-taken as early as possible and a judicial inquiry commission should be formed to expose the involved persons.
They said their demands were not met appropriately, the activists of IJT will hold protests across the province against the malpractices held in the MDCAT examination.
