Police apprehend suspect linked to multiple thefts in Peshawar

Police have arrested a key suspect allegedly involved in a series of motorcycle thefts across Peshawar, recovering nine stolen motorcycles and a pistol during the operation.
According to a statement, the arrest was made by SHO Gulbahar Police Station Adnan Afzal along with other personnel, under the supervision of DSP Gulbahar Circle Ihsan Marwat and on the directives of SP Faqirabad Division Resham Jahangir.
The suspect, identified as Adnan son of Meraj and a resident of Pabbi in Nowshera district, was said to be affiliated with a motorcycle lifting gang. Police stated that he was involved in multiple thefts targeting citizens in Gulbahar, Phandu, and other areas.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to his role in the crimes and identified other members of the gang. Special teams have been formed to arrest the remaining suspects, police said.
Nine stolen motorcycles and one pistol were recovered from the suspect’s possession, the statement added. Further investigation is underway.
